Maureen Blumenthal

"Mo" is a third generation Bay Area native & has lived in Oakland for over 30 years. She has been a bluegrass & country music fan even longer. Along with her great vocals, banjo, & guitar , she is a multi-award winning songwriter. 

Kelly Trojan 

Upright bass, & vocals


Kelly is from the Verdugo Hills, in Sunland California. She grew up listening to recordings of Flatt & Scruggs, the Osborne Brothers & The Dillards. Her father, who had an exceptional voice, influenced Kelly's musical intrests. Her vocal expression contains the essence of her father's voice, having inhererited his beautiful timbre & tone. 

Michael Thilgen

Banjo & vocals

Michael is a Berkeley native & a long time Oakland resident. His fascination with bluegrass music began when he heard the banjo play.  When he is not practicing, or working as a landscape architect, he can be found spending time under the California Oaks, wandering by the local streams or seeking inspiration far out in the desert. 


Jacob Ofman

Guitar & vocals

Jacob grew up in Galveston, Texas. & lived on a steady diet of country & bluegrass music. He 

moved to the Bay area in 1975 to get a Ph.D in Psychology and practices in Oakland. If you listen close, you can still hear a bit of Texas twang in his smooth but powerful vocals.

Linda Juratovac

Resophonic guitar & vocals

Linda grew up in a small industial city in Northern Ohio. In her early days she played & sang folk music in small clubs around Cleveland. She came to California in 1973 & developed a career in landscaping.

Linda's return to music has sparked a love for traditional bluegrass music & the "reso" guitar.
